Study at the best technological university in Spain

The Universitat Politècnica de València is ranked number 1 among Spanish technology universities, according to the Shanghai ranking

The Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) – popularly known as the Shanghai ranking and considered the world's most prestigious indicator due to its objectivity – ranks the Universitat Politècnica de València as the best technological university in Spain, a position it has held since 2023.

Furthermore, UPV is the only Spanish technical university among the 500 best universities in the world. The podium in this field is completed by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM), two places behind in the 601-700 range, and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), further behind in the 801-900 range.

What would you like to study?

The Universitat Politècnica de València excels in engineering, architecture, management and the fusion of technology and the arts. It offers 47 degrees, 17 double degrees, 12 PARS (successive academic programmes), as well as 93 university master's degrees and 18 double master's degrees, which are taught at the Vera (in Valencia), Gandia and Alcoy campuses.

Many of these degrees are endorsed by international quality seals awarded by world-renowned associations such as EUR-ACE, EURO-INF, ABET and EQAS-Food.

Pre-enrolment for degrees: 16 June to 4 July

³ÉÈ˶¯Âþ has allocated 5,764 places for new students on undergraduate courses for the 2025-2026 academic year, 5% more than last year. Remember that pre-enrolment for UPV degrees opens on Monday, 16 June, and closes on Friday, 4 July 2025. For students from foreign systems, the date is from 16 June to 8 July, extendable from 14 to 31 July. Applications are made through an provided by the Valencian Regional Government.

Pre-enrolment for university master's degrees: 16 to 27 June

However, for university master's degrees, pre-enrolment for the ordinary phase (phase 2) only lasts 15 days, from Monday 16 to Friday 27 June 2025. ³ÉÈ˶¯Âþ has approved a total of 3,830 new places for these courses for the next academic year.

Don't forget that, in addition to master's degrees and double master's degrees, there are also qualifying master's degrees, inter-university master's degrees and Erasmus Mundus master's degrees. They all last one, one and a half or two academic years (60, 90 or 120 ETCS credits) and have a new website with clearer information and a more attractive design. Pre-enrolment for master's degrees is carried out through the UPV's application.
